Ayurveda

Ayurveda The mother of all systems of medicine.

Method : Administration of tablets, powders, liquids internally and oils externally.

Mechanism : The emphasis is on removing Ama (Toxins) within the body and normalising the Vata (Air + Ether), Pitta (Water + Fire) and Kapha (Water + Earth) in the gross body. Also if the medicines are potensised with proper mantras it also acts on the subtle body and chakras.

Especially useful in treatment of : Disorders in which lot of Ama(Toxins)are present. (Pancha karma is especially useful in such condition). Also in those conditions in which tonifying the physical organs is required. E.g. Tonification of bones, muscles, fat, liver, heart etc. Ayurvedically designed diet is an essential adjuvent to any form of therapy and can prevent illness if followed throughout one’s life.

Caution : Wrong medicine can be harmful. Practioners should be an expert in Pulse diagnosis. Also since now a days herbs are being grown artificially, they do not have same potiency as the wild growing herbs as in the past. So the ayurvedic treatment should be considered as an adjurant and not the whole and sole treatment. Otherwise relapses are common.

Duration : Depending upon the problem medication may have to be taken from 3 months upto 3 years.
